love it. if i had a dd i would of called her jessica. i know it sounds terrible but when you have to shout at her to tell her off, it's a great name to shout!

Haven't heard it used for a while, was very popular 5 years ago locally.
I think it's pretty.

I don't like it myself, but I think it's quite a classic name, I'd not call it Chavvy.

not chavvy, but very, very, very boring!

Neither sophisticated nor chavvy. It's nice - it's just not either of those adjectives!

Not boring at all - lovely name and certainly not chavvy.

Have never heard it called 'boring' before.

Tis my name.

I wasn't so keen on it when I was younger - I wanted to be called Sophie or Sarah or the like but loved it once I was older.

My friend called her DD Jessica, she's now 2 and totally gorgeous. Great name. Never thought of it before my friend called her DD it though.

Excellent name - Jess/Jessie are lovely too. Have taught some great Jessicas!

I thikn it's quite popular (if that bothers you - it doesn't me).

I like it.

Slightly boring, I know two under fives now, I don't think its as popular as it once was. I prefer the NN Jessie as opposed to Jess.

newmomma · 05/04/2010 20:10

Hmmm...

That's my only reservation - I'm really not keen on Jess.

Better suggestions then - from those of you who think its very dull?

Don't want 'new and trendy' or 'too common', just traditional and a bit underused...?

I like it, but just started DS2 at nursery today and there are 2 Jessica's in a class of 9. Staff say it can be confusing for them as they both look up when their name is called!
