Eden is a girl's name, no?

Etienne - he won't thank you for it, unless he's going to be an interior designer!

Second that Eden is too girly, and what's wrong with Stephen/Steven? Unless, as MrsBadger says, you're actually French.

No am not French! Just love that name but yeah it is pretentious!

Am upset about Eden though, am sure I have seen it as a boys name somewhere.

Anyone any other ideas for unsual boys name beginning with E (and yes it has be E!)

I know 2 female Edens (one 45 and one 5) and a 3 year old male Eden.

The funniest thing about the 5 year old girl Eden is that she has a sister called Eve. Sadly no Adam as a brother.

if you already know he's gay then it's ideal

mrsjamesmartin has some good ones by the looks of it.

My french friends have a ds called Enzio which is treated as very unusual there as it's italian.

i quite like Elian

I went to school with an Eden and he hated his name and always called himself Eddie.

Eden is too established as a girl's name now, I wouldn't use it for a boy.

Etienne I love, it's my favourite name, really beautiful but..... In reality it would be a difficult name to live with. I decided it was too much unless you're French. Good middle name though.

What about;
Emmanual
Stefan
Gabriel

Eden definitely a girl's name

Etienne is fab, but might sound an odd choice if you aren't French

Ah, don't you just love Mumsnet?

Where else, tell me, where else...

I think I'd rather like to call my baby Pontius. Or maybe Nirvana. What do you think? DH and I are having suuuuuch a dilemma over it.

Dilemma.... now there's a nice name.

I know one Eden (Eden-Dawn actually )

I knew a Jewish British Etienne once. He was cool, but this was 25 years ago when it wasn't naff to be "unique" and that sort of thing.

Why does it have to begin with an E??? I can't think of a single name I like which begins with E.
