We really want to call our little boy (due in March) Alexander. We had a shortlist but that name really stood out and seemed to fit with my husband's surname. Also it's a family name on his side from his Scottish Gran's family. Before we made our choice, we really didn't think it was that popular but since, they seem to be everywhere. Is it just a matter of us spotting them more now that we've made a decision or is there actually a surfeit of little Alexanders running around?
Other names that were mooted were:
Estlin (it's Welsh, my husband has an uncle Estlin)
Bruno (I don't think I like that any more though)
Josiah - Joss for short
Marcello (I'm half Italian)
