Clementine Pearl for a December baby?

Have decided on Clementine Pearl.
Made the mistake of telling people and have had one or two comments of "How seasonal!"

What do you think?
General thoughts and comments on the name would be appreciated too. We received another comment that it was fashionable at the moment too?

I know we shouldn't listen to people, but forewarned....

I think it is seasonal too, I know another Christmas Clem. But so what, if you love it you love it.

Beautiful names. Listen only to the nice comments and remember this is your baby after all. The name doesn't really matter all that much to anyone else beyond the few seconds it takes them to make a comment.

Lovely name. Good point in above post by mathanxiety - people will make throwaway comments with no intention to wound. Best not to tell anyone til the baby's actually born, IMO.

I don't think Clementines are necessarily synonymous with Christmas.
I wouldn't think of asking a Clementine if this was the season she was born, it just wouldn't occur to me.

I like Clementine. I've never thought of it as a seasonal name. So what if it is, anyway?

Just one noun, and anything else you prefer. The smarter girls at school would obviously tease a child with two nouns in her name, once they know what they are.

If that truely sis the case then I have never come across it, depsite working in schools for well over 10 years.

Children will tease and taunt for many reasons, which I have seen - but for nouns in names????

Clementine shortened to Clem or Clemmie is so, so lovely. I wouldn't have thought of it as seasonal but I think it's nice to have the reference towards a winter birthday. Gorgeous

Or calling my boys Cooper Hunter etc. A name is for life, and has to smooth your way through school, work, travel, romance etc etc. That's why I raised the question as to whether this child would be bothered by two nouns. She may not. Others may notice it though.
