Does anyone like this? I have never met a Dahlia but it really appeals to me. Could I have some opinions please?

I know someone called Dahlia, I like it.

With the correct pronunciation (Day-lee-ah) I think it's beautiful, and I don't usually like flower names. You might find that you have to correct people who pronounce it Dar-lee-ah though. Would that annoy you?

I would have pronouced it Dar-lee-ah until I saw Apple's post.

I think I only like it if it's pronouced incorrectly! Which is obviously no good so I have to say I don't really like it much.

The person that I know pronounces it Dar-lee-ah.

Da-lee-ah is lovely!

I know of a Dahlia, and they are one of my favourite flowers. It's pretty as long as you don't think of the Black Dahlia!

I would have pn it Dar-lee-ah not Day-lee-ah. As far as I know it can be pn both ways. I thought Dar-lee-ah would be the more common way but perhaps it might cause a bit of confusion!

I would have said Day-lee-ah.

I don't particularly like it either way tbh.

Day-lee-ah makes me think of daily paper and Dar-lee-ah sounds a bit American trash shock.

Bertie Wooster's good aunt.

Sorry, but it reminds me of "Black Dahlia" which isn't nice.

There's a Wiki link here I'll leave you the option of looking or not...

I've heard of 'Black Dahlia' and it's the main thing that puts me off the name!

I thought of Aunt Dahlia too. I like it, though I agree pronunciation could be a pain.

I love it!
