Elsa my fav

not keen on Thea or Cecily

Don't mind Anna or Helena

congratulations btw!

I love Helena, it's classic, and I also like Elsa which is short, sweet and pretty. Not so keen on Thea (I think middle aged dry and dusty academic) and Anna is just a bit dull really!

I like Thea and Elsa.

Anna or Helena are my favourites.

Not keen on Thea or Cecily, and ambivalent about Elsa.

Congratulations!

I absolutely adore Helena and Anna, beautiful, classic names. The others are nice but these two are fab.

bluebump Fri 06-Nov-09 18:54:44

I love Thea and Anna.

Another vote for Helena or Anna.

Elsa = the lion in Born Free. That's yonks old i know but I just immediately think that.

Anna is a family name as well.....

needanamefast Fri 06-Nov-09 19:12:19

Anna Anna anna!

Cecily is divine, is one of baby dd's middle names. Cecy nick name is great (like Cecy Hall in the Katy books).

Elsa second, Helena third preference.
Anna is okay, Thea is okay also, but prefer as part of a longer name personally.

Plonker Fri 06-Nov-09 19:19:21

Anna and Thea, I love

Helena is very pretty

Elsa will always be a lioness to me grin

Cecily , I just don't like

TigerFeet Fri 06-Nov-09 19:20:07

dd2 may well have been Anna had it not been a bit too matchy-matchy with our surname

I do rather like Cecily though

Thea is absolutely the best name ever.
Our Thea is 6 now and is complimented on her name regularly, it is feminine but not sappy or cute.

Anna is nice as is Cecily.

Helena is great.

lockets Fri 06-Nov-09 19:25:13

Just to add...I like Thea pronounced Thee ah rather than Taya or Thaya.

needanamefast Fri 06-Nov-09 19:27:12

oooo lots of diff opinions.
yes def prounonced thee - ahh

andlipsticktoo Fri 06-Nov-09 19:27:30

Elsa or even Elva is lovely.

Congratulations.

cyteen Fri 06-Nov-09 19:27:50

They're all lovely except Cecily. Thea or Elsa get my vote. Congratulations!

What a lovely list. the only slight comment is that I prefer Elena to Helena, but otherwise all beautiful elegant names.

Anna
Thea
Cecily
Helena
Elsa

Oh good, we have had people mispronounce dd's name as both Taya and Tia but she is fab at correcting them politely. We did consider using Theodora or Dorothea but actually we liked Thea far more as a name.

TreeTrunkThighs Fri 06-Nov-09 19:31:23

Only one option given with a middle name - betcha go for Cecily wink

FWIW I love Helena, especially with Nell as a nickname.

Congratulations :-)

mo3g Fri 06-Nov-09 19:38:41
