Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Ramsay

Ramsay Ramsay Ramsay Ramsay Ramsay grin

Not asking as much as just want to tell people!

Am 22 weeks with my first, found out it was a boy bump last week. This is my Scottish grandmothers maiden name, the family name goes back forever...

I love it, and am already calling him that when I talk to him, but know ex (baby daddy) will hate it. So until have had the conversation with him I feel I can't tell anyone in RL

Would like to have Edwin for his middle name but not sure it scans, would be a tribute to my very lovely and wonderful grandad though. And it sounds better with his surname.

So Ramsay

Ramsay Edwin M***

Im scottish and would never have thought of street or gordon when you mentioned Ramsay. Ramsay McDonald yes but not the other 2.

Lovely name, my nephews middle name.
Ramsay is one of my favourites.

grin, good point
But then his initials would be 'ERM'...

...and I think 'REM' is somewhat cooler...

i didn't think of Gordon Ramsay at all.....i thought of Ramsay Street....that said i do think it is a really lovely name....good luck with your ex. smile
Mrs Woolf - all our family works in politics so that's another nice connection.

Posie - Think I'm prepared for him not to be a Ramsay, but will be a shock! 'Feels' like his name iyswim

Thanks Hula

As his father 'hasn't decided if he wants to be involved yet' hmm I think it's really important that his name has a family history and link to people who will all love him desperately and unconditionally

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
