Husband likes

Hermione
Juno

I like them but sort of not sure.

Any opinions?

Hermione is passe and too much into Harry Potter - it's also one of those posh / chav names that has hit both sides of the spectrum

Juno is from the movie and derivative and will always be seen as a culty name because you saw that movie

What do "we" think?

Yes I have the Harry Potter misgivings as well although I do think it is a pretty name. Juno is the most recent one he has sprung on me. Unfortunately he doesn't like any of my suggestions!

Skihorse - By "we", I meant those who are kind enough to respond this thread.

Harry Potter associations are likely to be around for ages.
Imo, Juno is not a film that people will really remember in 5/10 years time. Like it, but then I know a truely outstanding June

Hermione is nice or something of that ilk, maybe Helena, Phoebe, Beatrix...

You might start cursing pg brain if you allowed hb his choice of Juno.

I prefer June to Juno. So long as your baby wasn't conceived in June as that is embarassing (know someone with this who has been embarassed by it all her life). Hermione is too harry potter ish I think.

It is a shame - they are two lovely names that I'm loathe to choose because of the associations.

Hermione is nice. What about Hero?

Hmmm. tbh I just don't think they are terribly attractive as names - whatever the association (J.K. Rowling or Sean O'Casey - wonderful writers maybe but not known for choice of lovely names...)

I think Heated's suggestion of Helena is far, far nicer. I don't think that I would like being called Hermione. June also nicer. Or Jenny.
