Looks a little indecisive, like they couldn't choose between Alexandra and Electra.

Did they have Carmen as a middle/first name?

i think you should say congratulations and smile

and hope to hell she doesn't do MN and see you bitching about her name

friend of a friend, sm. claire doesn't know her, presumably.

however given it is unusual it is potentially indiscreet to garner opinion upon

it is a pretty rubbish name, maybe it'd be no bad thing for them to see a straw poll... there's still time to change it.

that is thing about names.Princess Tiaamii sounds unique to some.gauche to others

my point is,name in question is unusual and well it is a done deed no point ripping the arse out of it now

it sounds unique to everyone, because it is unique. whether you think that is gauche or not is a different matter.

not a done deal, plenty of people change their minds about baby names.

no don't misinterpret what i say atich. i made example of a name (not the name in question) which the famous parents obviously like.others don't

i have not actually stated an opinion on name in question

Report
AitchTwoOh · 03/08/2009 00:46

i'm not. would you prefer i'd said 'whether one thinks it is gauche'?

I think it is a nice name but prefer the spelling Electra.

Obv not a classical scholar or interested in Psychoanalysis. Electra complex is the female form of Oedipus complex ie in love with father and wants to kill mother . . .

See here.

Or is it nothing to do with that and in fact her dad is called Alec??

It's not the worst name I have ever heard.

it sounds like some new energy company to me. Switch over to Alectra and get £100 off your first bill.

I like Allegra though. Electra has a bit too much baggage.

love Elektra, but not with the A.
