I know everyone is going to say it reminds them of a dog because of the film Marley and me but we love it and now I cant think of any other names for a girl I like better . . our parents hate it!! I quite like it, though probably not with a surname starting with M.

I know of a girl called Marley the same age as my DD, Ilike it.

I think it's ugly. Don't even like it for a boy. Chavvy.

I once knew a girl called Amalia, everyone called her Mali (pronounced Marley). Would you consider Marley as a nn? I always thought Amalia was a beautiful name with a great nn.

Oh God... Seriously, it's awful. Very silly and reminds me of Jacob Marley and his chains.

Just read your list of proper names and they are a million times better.

An old friend had a DD named Marley. she was mixed race (is that the pc way to refer these days ?), had the most GORGEOUS curly dark hair and beautiful skin tone, they named her Marley cos they were both mad about Bob Marley... she was a stunner. I think it's really cute TBH, but mainly because I have such a lovely picture of that name already
