Reckon I've got a girls' name sorted. Boys I find IMPOSSIBLE
I quite like
Johnny, Harry, Edward (but not Ed), Jamie, a few others.
But nothing leaps out and says YES.
Any thoughts?

I love Ted too Tillyscoutsmum. Like Max too. I find the biblical names a bit serious. I like boys names that are friendly and a bit cuddly. (Is that wrong???)

PS the thing is about Ted can you then stop others calling him Ed? If could stick with Ted might go for that. I think it's gorgeous.

Theo (or Theodore) I think is cute and frendly.

He will become a Ted or a Teddy but never an Ed!

I quite like cuddly and friendly names too My favorites are Barney, George and Fergus

DN is only 4 but so far, everyone refers to him as Ted but I suppose he/others might change it to Ed when he's older. I can't really imagine a teenage boy wanting to be referred to as Ted

Johnny was the fave till a friend said "what about rubber johnnies" which put me off. But does anyone call them rubber johnnies any more?

I don't think they get called rubber johnnies by the younger generations do they?

However i always think of the shining and 'where's johnny?' but i still think its a lovely name.
