for DD3? (due in 6 weeks). I have this as my middle name and also DD1's. I love it as it is a classic name but not sure whether it is a bit, well, boring?

What do you think?

Does it go with Grace & Maya?

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 22/12/2008 20:59

i think it is a teeny bit too traditional, although grace is traditional..

am so rubbish at names

pgwithnumber3 · 22/12/2008 21:04

Do you reallly? Think it is too posh for me!?

OP posts:
dooneygirl · 22/12/2008 21:05

I like it, as it is also DD's middle name.

I really like it. Eliza is also a beautiful alternative.

KatyMac · 22/12/2008 21:06

Elizabeth, Grace & Maya - sounds lovely

Maya, Grace & Elizabeth - still sounds nice....but not as nice - Maya, Grace & Beth is better that way round

pgwithnumber3 · 22/12/2008 21:06

Being the same as our middle names are not a problem really, it isn't like people use them at all. It is also my Mum's middle name so bit of a family tradition!

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 22/12/2008 21:07

pgwithnumber3 · 22/12/2008 21:08

I really am struggling to come up with a name that we both love. Nothing seems to feel right.

OP posts:
pgwithnumber3 · 22/12/2008 21:09

About as posh as Cilla Black.

Scarlett out as friend has one and don't really like it tbh.
Eliza hmm, its okay.
Katie, have a niece called this.
Poppy - really cannot imagine being a middle aged Poppy,

I have the following on my list (baby due in 7 weeks but not sure what we're having - boys name sorted)

Abigail
Caitlin
Elizabeth
Amy
Olivia (although close friend has used it )

stillenacht · 22/12/2008 21:15

Love it - Elizabeth or Elisabeth (but then i lurrrve Pride and Prejudice)

pgwithnumber3 · 22/12/2008 21:15

Lulu, we liked Louisa but I am afraid have gone off it now.

I have come to the conclusion that I will never name this baby, there isn't a name I like enough.

It was hard enough with DD1 and DD2 but DD3, good lord, picking 3 girls name you LOVE is not easy.

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 22/12/2008 21:17

pfffffffffffffffft !

well, i shan;t bother suggesting anything else

actually, we would have the same problem if we would have had a DS2

pgwithnumber3 · 22/12/2008 21:18

I am afraid there isn't a name out there good enough for me atm, do you think it could be hormones?

Really like Lissy as a shortening, quite sweet.

OP posts:
Wheelybug · 22/12/2008 21:22

Alicia (pronounced Alice - ee - a rather than Aleesha) shortened to Lissy ?

Elizabeth is on our shortlist too if this baby turns out to be a girl, and I also thought 'is it a bit... boring?', though DH loves it. It's growing on me though, cos of all the nicknames.

I also have
Helena,
Nina,
Marianne

on my list, but Elizabeth (Libby) is front runner at the mo.
