Hi, can you help me decide which name is best to name my ds2. I wanted a cool, easy to pronounce muslim name. So just need to narrow it down to one name now :-)......
Zain or Zaydan? thanks

Zain

I knew a Zane - gawd he was handsome! So I reckon Zain sounds the same - only with a nicer looking way of spelling it!

frazzledoldbag34 · 12/11/2008 14:12

Zain or Zane definitely.

Zaydan is a bit 'Jayden', 'Jordan'-ish.

Zane is much better.

frazzledoldbag34 · 12/11/2008 14:12

Sorry I mis-spelt it, meant to put Zain is much better! Duh.

SoupDragon · 12/11/2008 14:14

Er, I was going to say neither but Is ee you're choosing a muslim name Zain I think. Sounds less made up to english ears then Zayden.

SoupDragon · 12/11/2008 14:15

Is it pronounced Zane though?

dinkymum · 12/11/2008 16:40

Loving Zain, really like it!

Ash80 · 12/11/2008 18:30

It is pronounced Zane, the muslim boys names website spells it Zain though.

Zain is big and growing mobile phone company across Africa and the Middle East, possibly India too. Just thought I'd mention that....

Ash80 · 14/11/2008 17:25

I am aware as i live in the Middle east (dubai). That was one of reasons putting me off the name.
Would it put you off?

Ah, well it depends if you are going to carry on living in the Middle East or Africa I suppose It's a lovely name, but due to all the recent rebranding here from Celtel to Zain, when I think of Zain, I think of 'A Wonderful World' their strapline, so not all negative thoughts.

BabyTalk13 · 15/11/2008 16:14

I like Zain.
There will always be something (or someone!) that reminds you of a name so dont let it put u off, its a lovely name
