jamie for a boy?

possibly thinking of dc3, would definitly choose chloe
if it was another girl, like jamie for a boy but not 100%
have not heard of many babies being called jamie recently
any thoughts?

yes its lovely. i would put james on his birth certificate, so that he has the choice of names when he is older. but defo go for jamie

i think i am 100% now thats convinced me, dh really likes the name too
and i think it would suit any age too, from baby to grown up

It seemed to be number 1 name about 18 years ago when my friends started having babies, but it's a long time now since I heard of a baby called James or Jamie.

I'd also put James on the birth certificate - Jamie is a lovely name for a little boy but once he's older he may like to have the option of being James.

Jamie was dd's name. Lots when she was born 10 years ago, not so many now.

We went with something different when we did eventually have a ds, as I felt Jamie was dd's name iyswim.

Lovely name - My lovely 38 year old brother's name. He's always been Jamie - never Jim or James. ( although James on Birth Cert'.)

However when my parents told my GPs the new baby's name they were horrified. They were from Edinburgh, so imagine the accent. 'Ooooh no - would always think of 'wee Jamie' the servant boy' (not that they had servants or anything!)

..so Jamie it was!!

My 4 month old ds is Jamie. We really struggled to find a boys name we liked and weren't even 100% about Jamie but it seems to suit him. Chloe was one of my favourite names too if he'd been a girl.

Jamie on his birth certificate and has always been called Jamie.

Alot of older people ask if his real name is James - think is a generation thing.

My parents call him J. and his nickname from his mates is Jimbob. No idea why!!

DH is 29 and agree that you dont hear it quite so much anymore.
