Jensen -'james son'- not really a problem as my DH's middle name is James! lol.

FWIW, I'm very anti first names that are more commonly surnames. Both of yours fit into that category!

But who cares what I think? If you like them, use them.

I'm Scottish and I've never heard anyone called Jensen! "James-son"? Really? Only ever heard of that Jensen Button racing driver person.

Choose names you like, but they get the thumbs down from me.

I would go so far as to suggest that website is wrong. Honestly, I don't think it is of Scottish origin. As a surname, maybe, however the surname variant of 'James' son' would more likely be 'Jameson', a common surname in Scotland.

I don't think Jensen is Scottish.

Also, you would probably have your son being known as 'Jen', would you want that?

You grow to like these names though - a few years ago I'd have turned up my nose at Jensen, but there is one at DD's preschool, he's a nice little lad so now I like the name.
