Help!!

Getting so confused now and can no longer even decide if I actually like what I think I like (if that even makes sense, just herring name stress now) so comments welcome on the below names:

Ada
Alice
Edith
Elena
Emma
Frances
Francesca
Hazel
Julia
Margaret
Maria
Martha
May
Nora
Pearl
Rosa
Ruth
Valerie
Violet

Any alternatives welcome as most of them probably fall under the same style. Don't want anything super popular but at the same time don't want super unusual either.

May on it's own I think is very nice, you see all these Lily-may/i/e etc I think just May is refreshing, elegant and suits any age.

Ada would be my second.

Ada - Like this. It's a nice change from Ava and works well in a lot of countries.

Alice - Nice, but a bit overdone at the moment.

Edith - I like this with Edie as a nickname. Smile

Elena - Like this one, but will have pronunciation issues, be warned! My husband is Scandinavian and where he is this is pronounced Eh-LEE-nah (similar to Alina), but I'd heard it pronounced Eh-LAY-nah and Eh-LEH-nah (like Eleanor) before.

Emma - Sweet, but overdone too.

Frances - Don't like.

Francesca - Don't like.

Hazel - Love this one.

Julia - Love this too.

Margaret - Don't like this.

Maria - Don't like this. It's outdated.

Martha - Love this, still trying to convince my husband to go for this one.

May - Like this.

Nora - Like this too.

Pearl - Very harsh sounding as a first name, IMO. But it makes a nice middle name.

Rosa - Don't like this.

Ruth - Quite nice.

Valerie - Don't like this.

Violet - Lovely, but very popular.

How do you feel about Olive?

I love the name Ada (biased as one of my DDs names), though something I only realised after my DD was born was that people will forever confuse it with the more popular "Ava" Hmm.

I also love Edith, Elena, Martha and Ruth. Rest of the names are nice, though I'm not keen on Valerie, Nora or Pearl.

I only like Francesca from your list. Don't mind Emma or Martha.

Really don't like names like Ada, Pearl or Edith or Margaret. Too old-fashioned.
