April Auden is the best from your suggestions

Or

I don't think it's tradition to have a masculine middle name - it might be a new trend, but it's not traditional.

I think OP meant it's a tradition within her own family?

Oh ok, I didn't read the OP like that.

Where is it traditional to give a girl a masculine middle name?

Report
nooka · 25/11/2016 04:58

Even if it's traditional in your family to use a masculine name for your daughter's middle name, if you don't like any then you don't have to follow tradition. Or you could cheat and use a name that has transitioned from being used for boys to being used for girls like Hilary, Lesley, Jean (Gene), Vivian etc. Alternatively a diminutive of a boys name might work, like Billie or Jamie as these seem to be used increasingly for girls. Or a more feminine sounding boys name like Aubrey, or a name with a male and female form like Francis/Frances perhaps?

Scots (and others) have used mother's maiden name as a middle name,if that helps. A school friend of mine was Tamsin Lloyd surname.

Otherwise, Zoe is a great Spring-like name (means life).

Lindsay, Leslie and Julian can be boy or girl names.

I gave an April Jane, not masculine but sounds normal.
