RIGHT?!

I used to love this and it's just come onto my radar a minute before I posted this but is it crap? Just let it sink in for a second. Do you know any? Do I sound desperate?

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup Tue 08-Nov-16 17:21:13

I love it!

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup Tue 08-Nov-16 17:21:41

Don't know any either-always a plus in my book!

SausageSoda Tue 08-Nov-16 17:24:33

Sorry, but I think it's crap. Very 80s IMO. Don't know any though unless you count the singer, the overpriced jeweller and Martine McCutcheon's character in Eastenders grin

Yawninghippo Tue 08-Nov-16 17:26:08

Sadly all I can think of is the Eastenders character or hear the 'fanny' part of it.

BigGreenOlives Tue 08-Nov-16 17:26:34

Know one in her 50s.

crazylittlething Tue 08-Nov-16 17:27:55

I'm one!

Onenerfwarfrombreakdown Tue 08-Nov-16 17:28:23

Very 80s trailer trash, sorry. Shellsuits and white stilettos.

crazylittlething Tue 08-Nov-16 17:30:19

Never liked it

ProbablyMe Tue 08-Nov-16 17:31:13

Makes me think of Tiffany Aching from the Terry Pritchett books and therefore I love it!

ProbablyMe Tue 08-Nov-16 17:31:25

*Pratchett

crazylittlething Tue 08-Nov-16 17:31:54

I'm definitely not trailer trash tho

AliciaMayEmory Tue 08-Nov-16 17:32:03

When I was about 11 or 12 I would have given anything to be called Tiffany or other similar American sounding names! Still makes me smile with nostalgia, so for that reason alone, I love it!

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup Tue 08-Nov-16 17:32:09

There's some rude people on here. confused

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup Tue 08-Nov-16 17:32:23

*There are

NataliaOsipova Tue 08-Nov-16 17:32:55

I know one. She's very nice. In her 40s. There was a teenage pop singer in the 1980s called Tiffany and obviously the jewellery shop. It's not classic, but it's not awful (in my opinion, anyway!)

CanandWill Tue 08-Nov-16 17:35:20

Haven't you heard op? You can only pick a name from one of the 10 pre-approved names on this board.

LunaLoveg00d Tue 08-Nov-16 17:37:00

My 11 year old has decided that when she has twins she is naming them Tiffany and Ellie.

That alone is enough to put me off.

UnoriginalNN Tue 08-Nov-16 17:40:48

Hmmm I thought it would be a mixed bag. I can't tell if it's hormones or if I genuinely like names atm...

StarOnTheTree Tue 08-Nov-16 17:43:47

I love it

Aderyn2016 Tue 08-Nov-16 17:49:41

I think it is one of those names that you can carry off if you are middle class and have a nice accent and lots of money. But if you are not, people will derm it chavvy and think of Bianca's dd in Eastenders.
Fwiw, I really do like it and think it is very petty but I just don't think it transcends the horrible class divide Britain has.

ErrolTheDragon Tue 08-Nov-16 17:49:43

It's one of those names which suits some people but really wouldn't work so well for others. It's quite 'fluffy' sounding. (though as mentioned upthread, Tiffany Aching kicks ass!)

Does it get NN'd to 'Tiff' - a spat, or an image file format? grin

princesshaley Tue 08-Nov-16 17:51:29

I think Tiffany's quite pretty. I went to school with two but other than that, I don't know any. One down side though, is that one of Donald Trump's daughters is Tiffany, after the jewellers. Don't know if that's something that would put you off or not though??

PilkoPumpPants Tue 08-Nov-16 17:54:27

I absolutely love the name Tiffany. I've only met one person with the name and that was from school years ago.

UnoriginalNN Tue 08-Nov-16 20:14:30

I do still think of Eastenders which is a shame as I think it's lovely. Dh, however, says "it's not even a grower"!

(It's going on the list anyway)
