I am 10 days overdue now. I thought we had the name sorted but now I'm not so sure. I'm having a bit of a wobble about it.

It's Edith Lily.

Opinions? Will people think it's horrible? Is it one of those 'oh that's unusual!' names that isn't that nice?

Edith lily I see as a classic sort of name - traditional. Not over used, but not over popular. Nothing wrong with it.

It's not that unusual, and in fact I'd put it in the 'of the moment' category of old fashioned names, along with Martha/Maud/Evelyn etc - all having a comeback.

Lovely name. I also like nn Edie for it. Don't wobble!

I agree that it's not particularly unusual, but I do like the name Edith.

I was torn between Edith and Elspeth until the last minute. Went for Elspeth, but Edith is an excellent name.

It's lovely.

It's lovely, I have never met an Edith who wasn't an old lady but I think that's a good thing!

Not unusual at all, tbh. I know of five Edith/Edies under eight.

Lily even more so - practically the law to use this or May as a MN it seems.

Good luck with birth!

BTW, just throwing this out there (though if you're wobbling over Edith, then I sense this will not be your cup of tea), but I vastly prefer Enid.

It's a great name. I know a small one - NN Eenie - and it suits her brilliantly.
