I love it; all the Hayleys I know are lovely, intelligent, kind, funny women.

Not really a yes or no, but this is who I think of....

I like it and predict a serious rise in popularity over the next 5-10 years

It's my name and I'm not a fan tbh. Always wanted to change it. Don't like being called Hay but it's inevitable. As was Hayley alien at school.

Awful sounding and outdated, sorry.

It's beautiful and under-rated. However, other than the names that would be out and out cruel to call a child, you will get mixed reactions on every single name.

BennyTheBall · 20/10/2016 21:19

No from me. It's a bit Sharon/Tracy.

I think it's a bit dated too, but suspect that the 70s/80s names will be coming back soon, so you might be ahead of the curve?

itssquidstella · 20/10/2016 21:30

Quite 80s. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I suppose. I know a lovely Hailey and prefer that spelling.

RiverTam · 20/10/2016 21:33

It feels a bit dated. But it's not a bad name at all, might be due a revival?

Report
UnicornPee · 20/10/2016 21:44

I think it's lovely.
Those saying it's chavvy are probably calling their children Keira-Leigh or Levi-Kanye

sortthetacheoutbernard · 20/10/2016 21:45

I like it. Always been one of my favourite names .

Grin Grin pigpig

Not at all. Never.

Hallie/Halle is the 20 years later version of Hayley.

Report
DiegeticMuch · 20/10/2016 22:29

It's not chavvy but it does seem dated. I don't know any under 25. Due a revival!

Great name- know several awesome Hayleys and within current peer groups it's would be underused and on-trend!

I like it. Don't see it as the snobby c word at all.

Report
charlestrenet · 21/10/2016 00:21

It's not going to be on-trend until the Hayleys become grandparents themselves and the cycle starts again. It's an 80s name, so that could happen fairly soon, but isn't now yet in large numbers.
