Archie and Alfie?

Do they sound too similar and wrong together? Already got an Archie but really love Alfie for our next DS due in Feb. Love A names ending in 'ie' it seems

To me the names always remind me of each other but I think that means they work well as sibling names

So similar and sooo common. I think I know more little Archie's and Alfie's than anything else, they're eveywhere. And none of them are really Archibald and Alfred so they'll grow up and still have little kid when they're grown men.

I know 2 families who have children called Alfie and Archie. I think they sound lovely together.

I think it goes, as to popularity, would that bother you? In this area there are quite a few of both, but if you don't mind that then go for it. Like Alfie, but slightly more unusual is Artie, also Avery and Aubrey.

I like Archie but don't like Alfie very much. It doesn't sound complete to me for some reason whereas Archie does, although I know that, traditionally, it would have been a shortened version of Archibald or something. Albie is better but I might wonder if you were a bit lacking in imagination if I heard Archie and Albie. They are quite similar - both are short names with two syllables, begin with A and end ie. How about Wilfie or Wilfred? Or go with Alfred and then he could be Fred or Alfie.
