First name is Max and I want a middle name also ending in an S sound, preferably with more then one syllable.

All I can think of is Atticus but there must be more out there!

James, Marcus, Lucas?

Or more Roman ones like Julius, Septimus, Octavius, Claudius?

I like Lucas, thanks!

Also like the Roman names but think they might not go with it very boring very English surname! So like octavius though.

James and miles don't work as they end in a z sound, not an S sound.

Forgot about Nicholas, thanks

I like Elias and Fergus
If it's the ssss sound you are after as opposed to the letter S how about Felix - means fortunate so it's a good middle name.

Phileas as in Phileas Fogg. Max Phileas has a ring to it!

Felix sounds like it ends in s...does to me anyway... Max Felix is nice, I quite like the double x.
