Mmm, yes, I like it, a nice strong name.

LondonStill83 Sat 20-Aug-16 22:57:49

I love it!

I am due in a few weeks and our current favourite is Elliot Jackson. Great minds!

BlueChampagne Sat 20-Aug-16 23:01:41

I'd go for Aidan Elliott but I'm biased!

CheckpointCharlie2 Sat 20-Aug-16 23:02:48

If I'd had a boy he'd have been Elliot or Jesse so I think it's perfect.

Raahh Sat 20-Aug-16 23:05:49

Elliot is a great name biased and Aiden is a lovely middle name. so go for it.

am just relieved I didn't open this and then read....'for a girl grin

MrsJacobs Sat 20-Aug-16 23:07:25

Great! smile

No, not for a girl grin that would be horrendous, IMO.

Will people always spell it Elliott Aiden?

Raahh Sat 20-Aug-16 23:09:13

grin

If they have any sense, they will spell it Elliot. wink

To me, (and it's totally unfounded) I see Elliott as a surname. But over the years many have argued against this.

Aidan being spelled Aiden is an ongoing issue for our family. It drives me crazy, but only when I've gently pointed out its aidAn a couple of times. Elliot Aidan is lovely.

Raahh Sat 20-Aug-16 23:10:59

(but I have children with full names, (and shortenings) that can legitimately be spelled a number of ways, so I've got over the angst of the person who spelled it 'Eliyot').

Raahh Sat 20-Aug-16 23:12:11

oops- sorry for spelling Aidan, Aiden !

DramaAlpaca Sun 21-Aug-16 02:36:54

I like it, with that spelling. Very nice.

MrsGsnow18 Sun 21-Aug-16 05:34:20

I like both names, think they go well together too.
I've never actually noticed how many ts are on the end of Elliot, how strange, now my brain can't even work out how many I would normally put!
Would spell Aidan even though I know an Ayden.

ButtMuncher Sun 21-Aug-16 05:55:08

Love it - Elliot is our firm favourite too.

septembersunshine Sun 21-Aug-16 07:12:32

I think it's a lovely name. I have a biased towards Aidan (for a first name since we are using it for our baby due next week!) but Elliot Aidan is a great combination. I love your traditional spelling of Aidan too smile I can't stand the 'den' ending!

LoraLoves Sun 21-Aug-16 19:11:25

My son's middle name is Aiden and my older son's middle name was going to be Elliot but ended up being my Peyton. My DH is Aiden.

Olbersparadox Mon 22-Aug-16 09:18:13

Aidan doesn't seem like a real name

TheFairyCaravan Mon 22-Aug-16 09:21:52

I love Elliot -biased-- people usually ask "one or two t's"

SteviebunsBottrittrundle Mon 22-Aug-16 10:25:21

I'm not keen on Elliot (sorry), but I do like Aiden.

Pemba Mon 22-Aug-16 16:03:09

The name Aidan has been around for ages. Isn't it Irish?

LucyLucyLou Mon 22-Aug-16 16:13:36

Saint Aidan of Lindisfarne - Irish monk, 7th century.

buddy79 Mon 22-Aug-16 21:36:44

This is so funny as I have an Elliot (love it!) and Aidan is top of my list of we had a second DS -- so yes I love them both and think they go really well together!

ayeokthen Mon 22-Aug-16 23:28:35

Olbersparadox probably because of all the "new" names that sound like Aidan but aren't. I get it all the time with our Aidan.
