Expecting DD2. DD1 is Rowan Rose and we are now struggling with names as we obviously used our best two names on DD1 GrinHmm

Finding it hard to agree but have narrowed it down to
Charlie Mae (I like that it's also a unisex name like Rowan)
Charlie Jennifer
Charlie Ann
Holly Mae (I like that it's also a tree)

(Don't necessarily like Charlie more, just goes with more middle names we like. Finding it harder to decide between Charlie and Holly).

Thoughts or favourites, or ideas of other names along the same lines we might like? THANK YOU so much in advance x

I prefer Holly over Charlie, but i don't like Mae as a middle name.

If you have though abuot themes (eg - both unisex or both trees) have you also considered keeping the theme of same initials of first and middle names, so perhaps...

Holly Heather (I think this is wonderful, and sticks with your plant theme for both first and middle names!)
Holly Harriet
Holly Hannah
Holly Helena
Charlie Coral (I think this goes well with your DD name too, unisex first name, colour middle name!)
Charlie Catherine
Charlie Coraline
Charlie Ciara

How about Willow?

With a unisex name like Rowan, I'd probably choose Charlie for dd2. For a middle name I prefer Charlie Ann. Don't think that Charlie Jennifer flows that well personally.

Why not give her a girl's name? Just a thought......

Honestly, none of them.

And i say this with the best of intentions- but if someone comes to me as a job applicant and their name is 'charlie' then I immediately know their social and economic background and I make assumptions based on that - I hate to admit to it, but it's true - and in my experience it's true across the board - education, uni, jobs. Unfortunately no one takes you seriously if you have a cutesy name.

That said, a nickname is cool. So if you want to call her Charlie then why not register as Charlotte? for example?

I LOVE Willow but DH is not keen.
Yes, I agree a one syllable middle name is best.
Thanks Burt Grin I thought Charlie and Holly were girls names Hmm girl name suggestions welcome though :)
User, no you don't 'immediately know their social and economic background' Hmm but I agree it should be Charlotte full name, rather than Charlie.

Charlotte nn Charlie is lovely. But I really wouldn't put Charlie on the bc.

Rowan Rose is lovely!
I think Charlotte flower-middle name would be cute. There would be a theme, but it wouldn't be as obvious as Rowan and Holly.
Charlotte Calla would be cute, so both girls would have first and middle names that start with the same letter and a flowery middle name. But I personally also like Violet, Tamsin, Briony, Ivy and Peony, I think they'd sound nice with Charlotte.

I think Ivy or Heather would be great with Rowan. Or Ash? (Also unisex). Or Cassia which is a cinnamon tree?

Cassia Charlotte?

I like Willow too. Don't like Charlie or Holly, neither as pretty as Rowan. On a general botanic theme what about Violet or Iris? Or on a colour theme, Scarlett?

Thanks all so much for the replies.
Have totally gone off Charlotte already Blush
Not keen on Aspen, Violet, Tamsin, Peony, Heather, Ash, Cassia, hazel, jacinta, fern, iris or scarlett -- sorry, but thank you for suggesting.
DD1 was going to be Ivy for a long while but we're not so sure now.

I love Briony, it's on the list but DH not sure.

So Willow has grown on him a bit SO, what about:
Willow Wren?

And Quercus - thanks for saying Rowan Rose is amazing Smile I think that's half the problem as we love it so much it's hard to think of something that is as nice to us.
