My DH and I love this name, but not sure what others will think of when they hear it.

She is the Norse goddess of love and war. I love that, but does it have negative connotations for anyone?

I have a Freya. It's quite common now. No negative connotations here.

I like it a lot but there's a lot of them around these days. Depends whether that would bother you. If not, I'd do it.

Thanks for the input!

My top choice is "Alice Claire" but... my husband thinks it's too boring :'( sad!

I think it is a beautiful name although it is very popular currently.

It's a nice name, I've never heard of anyone having a negative connotation with it. However if you're looking for a lesser used girls name Alice is much more of a rarity than Freya, at least in my area (SE).

I will look into this! she was one of the queens in the recent (terrible flop of a) movie Huntsmen. The Snow White movie.

Alice and Freya are both beautiful and inoffensive names. Freya seems much more popular at the moment so I'd say Alice is the "less boring" choice but not by much.

They'd make a good sibling set, so maybe keep Alice for dc2.

Alice (spelled Alyce in our family) is a family name. I am hoping I can get him on board for next baby. :) I picture Freya having red hair... so I guess we'll meet her in August and decide!

I prefer Alice to Freya

What about Mila or Innes? Both have a similar Nordic feel to them imo but a bit rarer.

It does for me because I know a princessy madam one , but my connotations won't affect you
