Cassia.

Shortened to Cassie probably.

Or can you suggest anything else?
Englishy/fairly traditional but not popular or boring.

Prefer flower names.

Thank you!

DH will accept Cassie, but says that Cassia is too like Shania type names.

Or Casio watches.

But I just LOVE it.

No it's been on my list for a while!

I don't think it will be an evie type name. It isn't similar to Shania in my opinion.

You say Cassia and I automatically say bark. It's Chinese Cinnamon.

How about something like Cassandra and shorten it for her pet family name or nickname?

Well I suppose at one time people would have thought. You can't use Rose as a name. That's a flower. Any name goes now. Grin

Really like Cassia: not Cass, Cassie or Cassandra though.

I like Cassius for a boy too (obviously not as a sibset though!)

Report
hamabeads · 24/05/2016 11:59

Prefer Cassandra.

ABitAsleep · 24/05/2016 11:59

I prefer Cassidy rather than Cassia, still shortened to Cassie though.

Flora

How about Kezia / Keziah? It means cassia or cinnamon.

Report
CoYoAddict · 25/05/2016 05:38

It is quite pretty but yes, it's Chinese cinnamon which is allegedly quite toxic.

Not that most people will know or care about that.

Report
BigGreenOlives · 25/05/2016 05:43

I think of it as a fairly classical name. It's Greek in origin.
