Came across this just now. Thoughts?

LadyAntonella Wed 27-Apr-16 12:34:08

Not my cup of tea personally. I don't like Aurora either though, and they sound quite similar so that makes sense. smile Also might sound like 'adore her' in some accents (where I live for example - so this might put me off).

My first thought was Kia Ora

Don't know if this will mean anything to you but SheRa was really called Adora in the cartoon.

ProphetOfDoom Wed 27-Apr-16 12:39:38

No

MitzyLeFrouf Wed 27-Apr-16 12:47:47

I think of Kia Ora too.

It's too orangey for crows!

LadyAntonella Wed 27-Apr-16 12:54:53

FindingTheRightName Wed 27-Apr-16 13:04:50

Thank you x

Adorabelle was the name I actually came across!

I think I'm not keen anyway

MiddleClassProblem Wed 27-Apr-16 13:07:44

I hope your surname is bull.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. She probs would get called adorable at school at some point but that will be annoying rather than anything else. My name is a song title and I learnt to own it rather than get annoyed with it. Also, how many boys called Richard get called Dick at school? I wouldn't worry.

MiddleClassProblem Wed 27-Apr-16 13:08:55

Btw I meant loads of boys get called dick but it is still very common

First thought is Terry Pratchett & his character Adora Dearheart.

I don't like it, it belongs in the same category as Angel, Dreambelle, Chardonnay, Mercedes etc

barcelosthehappychicken Wed 27-Apr-16 13:13:40

I as thinking "Wizadora, we adore y'a"

Sorry

AskingForAPal Wed 27-Apr-16 13:25:19

Me too Midnight, she's actually called Adora Belle Dearheart. She hates it IIRC and her nicknames are Spike and Killer smile

But I don't mind it!

MidnightVelvetthe5th Wed 27-Apr-16 13:28:26

Hahahaa Asking I knew someone would pick me up on that, I typed out the Belle bit then deleted it as I thought it might be a bit distracting grin grin

Loved the character Adorabelle Dearhreart from TP.

I wouldn't personally choose it as a name. What about Dora as the name on the certificate and Adora as a nickname?

LadyAntonella Wed 27-Apr-16 13:40:00

Love Dora.

MidnightVelvetthe5th Wed 27-Apr-16 13:42:57

Dora is lovely, very Dickensian, sadly taken over recently by The Explorer!

Sophronia Wed 27-Apr-16 14:02:00

I prefer Adara

Alisvolatpropiis Wed 27-Apr-16 14:31:09

Not keen, Anorah is quite nice though?

Ilovenannyplum Wed 27-Apr-16 15:10:01

I automatically think Wizadora you'll adore her.....

Remember her? Annoying tv programme from the 90's
