What are yours and your contemporaries' names please? Would love to hear the popular and also rarer names. When I travelled there I met so many people around my age who I thought had different and interesting names (even though they may not seem it to you!) I need inspiration and I think you may be able to help me!

One of the names I recall is Jaimyn, which I just suggested on a different thread and it reminded me of the lovely names I came across.

TIA.

Thank you this is exactly what I need. Your two examples are gorgeous names. If only the lists on your link were longer!

Greetings from Melbourne!

My 30-something friends and colleagues are Nicole, Mary Jane, Jessica, Rebecca, Stephen, Matthew, Luke, Eliana, Teagan and Sarah.

I remember Kate, Sophie, Miranda, Louise, Jacob and Alexander being popular baby names 30 years ago.

Wonderful stuff! Like I said you may not think these are out of the ordinary but I've been watching this board for a while and never seen many of these mentioned. It's really refreshing. I'm keen to choose a more unusual name for my ds Smile

I'm in my 30's and used to have an Australian penpal called Tempany (female) I don't know if it's an exclusively Australian name but I've never heard it anywhere else.
