Girls names to go with her brothers :)

So, found out I'm having a little girl after four boys. So as this is all new as I'm usually used to picking boys names, a few suggestions would be helpful :) if it helps my boys are named: Lewis, Joshua, Leo and Oliver. Names me and my DP have spoken of are: Aurora, Arabella and Mariella. However he's not keen on Mariella and I think Aurora is too Disney associated and I'm not too keen on Arabella although I do love the name, but it will be shortened to bella and we happen to have a dog named bella lol. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Thankyou, I really do love Arabella....just people round here tend to shorten names. All my boys apart from Leo get shortened. Thankyou for all your suggestions so far :)

OP your boys names are all upbeat and a bit cheeky sounding.

Your girl named choices are quite long and 'fancy' (not a criticism, I really like them!) whereas your boys have more classic, 'down to earth' names. Doesn't necessarily matter (I know a mum who has 7 boys all with Arabic names then a little girl called Evangeline!?) but how about these a blend of the two styles:

Haha I know that's my only problem, I've always struggled with boys names and ended up just going for classic names. Whereas with girls names my taste is totally different to boys and I'm not too keen on the classic traditional names like my own (which is in that list :) ) In the past my girls names before I found out my boys were boys have been lillie, Ava, Eden and Erin but then the first two got over used so I went off them but the latter two I still like although not love. Although I really do like Thea off that list. It's not so good having totally different taste between girls and boys names lol. Thankyou x

On the basis you like Thea, Aurora and Ava, all of which were on our shortlist, other names we considered were Eloise, Ottilly, and Marianne.

If you have a dog called Bella I think having a DD with a name ending in ella would be awful!
Saying that, I don't really like any of your girl's names. Too fussy and frilly for me - sorry. I like all your boy's names.
I much prefer Eden and Erin, and I think they match your boys far more.

I wouldn't use Arabella because of the dog named bella, but Mariella is a totally different name to bella, the name wouldn't be shortened to Ella in this household either as I am not too keen on the name Ella, so I see no issue with that in all honesty. But it is out of the question anyway due to DP not liking that name. I'm a rather girly girly person that's just my taste, I know it isn't everyones taste however. Thankyou for the suggestions :)

Clarence yes I do like the shortening of Aurora. DP really likes Aurora and I did alot before I got pregnant. I guess it's easier to like names when you aren't actually looking for them though ha. Love Hannah but it's my DN name.

If your taste is long, 'girly' names then that's fine, there's no law that your daughter's name has to 'match' her brothers!
