I am 14w pg with dc3. We have a boys name picked already (and a couple of back-up names!) but can't seem to settle on a girls name.

We have 2 dds: both girls names are 2 syllables long and end in 'a'. I would like something that flows with their names, but am not concerned with a name that matches, iyswim.

Our girls names shortlist (for now):

Mia
Isobel
Jessica
Annabel
Georgia

Dd1 (7yo) has a clear preference for Isobel. Jessica is DH's favorite, followed by Georgia. I like Mia and Isobel but my favourite changes daily.

Could you please list your order of favourites, share your opinions if you'd like and maybe suggest other girls names? I'm aware that they are all quite popular names, but I'm not bothered by that.

Thanks Smile

Georgia is my fave.

I'm not hugely keen on the rest although there's nothing wrong with any of them. Except maybe Annabel, it's a bit sloaney.

I'm sure I've suggested all these at some time in this section... am adjusting your list in order of my current preference:
Jessica
Isobel
Annabel
Mia
Georgia

More names ending in -a:
Elena
Orla
Zinnia
Just because it's a friend 's name and rarely seen I shall also suggest Donna.

Some lovely names there, I would rank them:

1 Isobel (though this is super popular as I'm sure you know).
2 Jessica (though you will get people saying it's dated - very popular in the 80s)
3 Annabel (the best spelling too, I find Annabelle over-frilly)
4 Georgia

5 Mia (nothing wrong with it, just not as lovely as the others).

Isobel and Mia equal first (my choices! Grin)
Jessica
Georgia
Annabel

Thank-you for your help so far!

I love Georgia, my baby girl (8 months) is called Georgia, middle name Kate.

I think Isobel is nice but it's a really common name, as is the similar sounding name Isabella. They're just everywhere.

Jessica's a Very pretty name and I don't think it's as common these days.

Georgia or Jessica :-)

I like Annabelle, but not Annabel (looks like it should rhyme with cannibal). I also like Anna
Jessica is nice but v popular. I also like Jessamine.
Mia is pretty.
I'm fed up of isobel & other variations.
I have an irrational dislike of Georgia.

I like Jessica and love the NN Jess.
I am afraid I don't like any of the others, least of all Isobel.

Jessica (Jess) is also my favourite. I dont think it will ever date/sounds dated.
I know several men who say its their favourite women's/girls name as feminine but punchy and think this sums it up.

Isobel is pretty, but so over used, that I have gone off it.

Don't like Mia, never know whether the girl is a Me - a or a My -a pronunciation.

Have never liked Georgia, too similar to George.

Love Jessica, but feels a little dated

I like Annabel.
