Baby names

Olivia, Chloe or Daisy?

Hi all,

I'm not due for another few months but thinking about names and finding it difficult to agree with DH on girl's names. We have a couple of names for a boy that we both love.

So, I know the names I've listed above are v popular in the UK but I don't live in the UK and I don't think Olivia is overly popular where I live. Daisy is probably the most popular.

I love Daisy and DH loves Olivia (I do really like it also). Lately I've really been liking Chloe but I'm wondering if it's a bit dated?

Could you give me your opinions on these names please and also maybe some other names that we might like based on these?

None are really my taste, but if I had to choose, I'd go for Olivia.

Not to my taste. All a bit cutesy for me. But Olivia if I had to pick

All overused and going out of fashion.

I'd agree that they're all quite overused at the moment. I know substantially more than one of each who is less than 12 months old. But they are lovely names.
I think I like Olivia the most.

Violet
Robyn

I like all of them, but Olivin is my favourite. What about Olivia Daisy or Daisy Olivia?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I understand they're not to everyone's taste but that doesn't bother me as I will never find a name that everyone likes.

So Olivia is definitely the favourite, DH will be happy!

Space thank you for the suggestions. I'm not crazy about Violet but Robyn is really lovely, I'll suggest this to DH.

CremeEgg sorry, I didn't see your reply before I posted. Olivia Daisy sounds lovely - great idea to combine the two. Thank you Grin

Olivia. It's classic and so it won't date. Also, there are plenty of nicknames to choose from Olive, Ollie, Libby, Livvy.
Daisy and Chloe, I'm not keen personally.

I know 3 Robin/Robyns born in the last 18 months.

Not particularly keen on any of them, but Daisy if I had to pick.

You have the same taste in names as me! I have a Chloe (tho she's nearly 18) and my 2 yr old has the middle name Olivia.

Thanks Majestic, I was thinking of Liv or Livvy as a nickname but didn't think of Ollie - I like it!

I wouldn't use any of them but if I had to choose, I'd choose Daisy.

Chloe is quite 90s but I still like it. I'd go for Olivia though - Olivia Daisy is very pretty.

Chloe, love the name. I have a 3 year old called it. I also know someone who just called their baby it.

Like all of them, having 3 girls myself I think they would be such cute names for 3 sisters!

I'd be inclined to avoid Chloe as every second teenage girl you meet seems to be called Chloe (or Ellie!). All nice names, so it just depends whether you care about DD being one of many. I wanted a name nobody else would have for DS1, but by the time DS 2 came along I was happy to choose a name we both liked, never mind how many others he might meet.

Olivia is my favourite off list but its far too popular for my liking.

I dont like Daisy its far too cutesy and girly for me.

So I think Id choose Chloe off your list
