Girls name for baby #3

Amberplus3 · 08/02/2016 21:16

Although I'm only 28 weeks, I'm panicking a bit as we haven't settled on a name for baby number 3 due in May.
My son is called Elliott James and my daughter is Annelise (Annie) Frances, but me and my partner can't seem to find a name that goes well with those two.
By 28 weeks I had already chosen names for the other two, so my anxiety is rising :/
The names we like so far:
Rowan
Robin
Quinn
Luna
Sophia
Penny

We like unusual but not totally far-fetched names....open to any suggestions please!

Luna and Quinn are lovely!

I love Luna!

I know a little boy Quinn so to me it's a boy's name. And I would spell it Robyn for a girl...

Just realised your thread title was for girls names....apologies OP as I threw in some boys names too!!

Sophia and Quinn, but I prefer Quinn for a girl but it's still nice for a boy.

I love Robyn for a girl but with the 'y' instead of 'i'. Might be because I know a lovely girl by that name. I also think it look more feminine with that spelling. Something I read on mumsnet which put me off Luna was that it's like lunatic. I've never been able to forget that association.

My grandma is called Evelyn so something similar would be lovely. My daughter's name is an amalgamation of "Ann" and "Elizabeth" which are my mum and mum-in-law's names so it would be nice to honour my gran as well. Florence was on the shortlist for Annie as well! Fleur and Fern are two of my faves, but OH a bit unsure. So many names to choose from, it's overwhelming!

I really like Rowan, Robyn (agree this is the best 'girl' spelling), Quinn and Sophia.

Not so keen on Luna and Penny but they're nice enough.

Unusual but no totally far fetched in a possible similar vein to your list:
Astrid, Amy, Aria, Ayla, Amber, April, Ada, Bronte, Bethan, Blair, Briar, Carys, Cerys, Callie, Cleo, Cassidy, Dana, Della, Erin, Eden, Effie, Esther, Fallon, Fiona, Giselle, Hope, Hebe, Hazel, Heidi, Ingrid, India, Iris, Juliet, Jade, Joanna, Josie, Kyah, Keziah, Lyla, Lyra, Lila, Livia, Lola, Lois, Larissa, Leandra, Mila, Morgan, Mala, Mika, Mirren, Melody, Nia, Nyah, Nadia, Nina, Naomi, Piper, Paloma, Polly, Ramona, Romilly, Romy, Rhiann, Saskia, Sadie, Saffron, Sorrel, Taryn, Tegan, Verity, Zia

I assumed the first 3 names were for a boy (Rowan, Robin, Quinn) and the second 3 for a girl (Luna, Sophia, Penny) Blush.

If they're all meant for a girl, I'd avoid the first three (know only boys and find them very masculine) and still love Luna.

Helena (Nell) would go well with your other two DC's names.
And when I see 'Romilly' discussed, I always want to add her 'sister' name Romola (Pronounced 'Rom mer le' )

What about Evangeline as similar to Evelyn?

Sophia is lovely but very popular at the moment so I'd avoid that!

Evangeline is beautiful and reminds me of the song from Princess and The Frog :D "ma belle Evangeline". But Evie is not a nickname I'd be happy with as that, too, is very common!
