You decide!

What do you think?

Felicity, it's beautiful.

PetersonPeterson Mon 25-Jan-16 21:57:35

Felicity. Love it

Felicity. It's a lovely, classic, underused name. Amelie is a faddy and overused name that doesn't sound anywhere as nice in an English accent as it does in French

I worry that when she's younger it will not be easy to say but as an adult it will be a lovely and sophisticated name.

Nickname for Felicity is Fliss - humph not sure about it!

LeaLeander Mon 25-Jan-16 22:21:39

Felicity.

Nicknames: Felice. Liss. Lix/Lixie (play off masc version Felix)

CoffeeCoffeeAndLotsOfIt Mon 25-Jan-16 22:33:03

Amelie, without a doubt.

Sophronia Mon 25-Jan-16 23:14:23

Felicity. Lissie/Lissy and Flick are other nns.

MyBigFatGreekYoghurt Mon 25-Jan-16 23:15:49

Amelie

Felicity, it's lovely. It's a name that never occurred to me when pregnant with either of my dd's but if it was I'm sure it would have been on my list somewhere.

It's a difficult name to shorten, I remember years and years ago on Neighbours, there was a Felicity (sure it was Holly Valance who played her) who's name was shortened to 'Flick' but I'm not sure about that myself. Liss/Fliss sound nice though.

If you use the other I'd go wth the Amalie spelling.

TheCatsMeow Tue 26-Jan-16 09:54:09

Amelie. Don't like felicity

Allalonenow Tue 26-Jan-16 10:01:11

Felicity is a lovely name. The Felicity I know has Fizz as her nn.

Not keen on Amelie, alright for a little girl, but a bit "hippy-dippy" for a grown up.

WinterBabyHMW Tue 26-Jan-16 11:06:24

Amelie! Love the NN Millie/Milly too smile

Sunshine511 Tue 26-Jan-16 11:40:30

Felicity, it's lovely. There are so many Amelie's now. I think it was lovely and individual a few years ago but the fact it's more common now has made it lose its sparkle, in my eyes.x

Aquiver Tue 26-Jan-16 11:47:52

Oh I love the name Felicity!

Would suit a girl/woman of any age and can be shortened into a sweet nickname easily (e.g. Fliss).

ashesandfire Tue 26-Jan-16 14:35:45

Felicity definitely. Gorgeous! Amelie is too popular. I like Fliss and Fizz as nn for Felicity.

Peanutbutternutter419 Tue 26-Jan-16 15:31:40

I adore the name Amelie but we have an Emily in the family and it is just too close.
Felicity is lovely too!

Kitla Tue 26-Jan-16 15:40:29

Felicity - it's in a completely different league to Amelie.

Ilovegummibaers Tue 26-Jan-16 15:51:46

Felicity without a doubt! Beautiful underused classic name!

Amelie/Emily/Amelia/Emily/Emmy are SO overused that they've become a little dull imo.

Luckygirlcharlie Tue 26-Jan-16 15:53:16

Definitely Felicity! That was the ONE girls' name DH and I had agreed on for DC 2! It's a boy tho. It's lovely.

howabout Tue 26-Jan-16 16:03:35

Both. I think Amelie Felicity works together and then she has loads of options later. Would be Amelie by default though as Felicity Amelie doesn't roll off the togue quite so well.n

GlasgowPingu Tue 26-Jan-16 19:06:21

I think both are lovely names but prefer Felicity - it's the name I would have used for the wee one we're currently expecting if she's a girl (sadly it has been vetoed by my husband sad)

Sofiria Wed 27-Jan-16 12:11:35

Felicity! It's lovely.
