Felicity. Love it

Felicity. It's a lovely, classic, underused name. Amelie is a faddy and overused name that doesn't sound anywhere as nice in an English accent as it does in French

I worry that when she's younger it will not be easy to say but as an adult it will be a lovely and sophisticated name.

Nickname for Felicity is Fliss - humph not sure about it!

Felicity, it's lovely. It's a name that never occurred to me when pregnant with either of my dd's but if it was I'm sure it would have been on my list somewhere.

It's a difficult name to shorten, I remember years and years ago on Neighbours, there was a Felicity (sure it was Holly Valance who played her) who's name was shortened to 'Flick' but I'm not sure about that myself. Liss/Fliss sound nice though.

Amelie. Don't like felicity

Felicity is a lovely name. The Felicity I know has Fizz as her nn.

Not keen on Amelie, alright for a little girl, but a bit "hippy-dippy" for a grown up.

Amelie! Love the NN Millie/Milly too :)

Felicity, it's lovely. There are so many Amelie's now. I think it was lovely and individual a few years ago but the fact it's more common now has made it lose its sparkle, in my eyes.x

Oh I love the name Felicity!

Would suit a girl/woman of any age and can be shortened into a sweet nickname easily (e.g. Fliss).

Felicity definitely. Gorgeous! Amelie is too popular. I like Fliss and Fizz as nn for Felicity.

I adore the name Amelie but we have an Emily in the family and it is just too close.
Felicity is lovely too!

Felicity - it's in a completely different league to Amelie.

Felicity without a doubt! Beautiful underused classic name!

Amelie/Emily/Amelia/Emily/Emmy are SO overused that they've become a little dull imo.

Definitely Felicity! That was the ONE girls' name DH and I had agreed on for DC 2! It's a boy tho. It's lovely.

Both. I think Amelie Felicity works together and then she has loads of options later. Would be Amelie by default though as Felicity Amelie doesn't roll off the togue quite so well.n

I think both are lovely names but prefer Felicity - it's the name I would have used for the wee one we're currently expecting if she's a girl (sadly it has been vetoed by my husband :()
