What do people think of Gabriella?

We have decided on Gabriella Louise Bryant for our little girl. Nn will be Gabby. It finally feels like the name.
What do people think ?

I love it, but I would probably go with grabrielle as I wouldn't want Ella as a possible nickname. Suits young to old, go for it.

Personally I'm not keen on Gabby...sounds too much like Gobby, but it's probably unavoidable.

I love it, though DH doesn't.

If I used it I would just keep it Gabriella though. But that is just me. I have two DCs with names that can be shortened, and so far we have been able to use their actual names. Though as they get older it might change among their friends.

I really don't like it, sorry. Feels very big-hair 1980s school princess to me. Coupled with Louise it seems very dated.

I love Gabriella, and have a friend with a 4yo with that name. I dislike Gabby as a nn, I think it sounds harsh. My friend has so far stopped the use of Gabby.
