Here's our shortlist, which changes on a daily basis ;)

Seb (Sebastian) definitely our current fave
Monty
Hugo
Albie (Albert)
Louis

Clara
Lara (Larissa)
Mimi (Emilia)
Poppy (Felix and Poppy sound too much like pet names?)
Beatrice
Cecily

What does everyone think?

Love all your choices... I have a pair of cousins called Felix and Hugo :)

Though I don't think Albert and Poppy go so well with Felix as the others in your list.

I would go for Seb myself, and either Clara or Cecily.

Louis and Cecily or Clara.

I adore the name Felix and love the choices you've listed also for baby no 2!

From your list I'd choose Felix and Monty or Felix and Mimi

Other options:

Felix and Elliott
Felix and Spencer
Felix and Fletcher
Felix and Evan
Felix and Quinn

Felix and Esme
Felix and Iona
Felix and Freya
Felix and Martha
Felix and Isadora
Felix and Ivy.

Best of luck.

Thanks everyone! I like Freya, I also like Florence but was put off by the double f's. DH likes Martha, I do as well but not as much.
Matilda was another choice, although Tilly wouldn't work with our T surname.

Sebastian was what I was going to suggest.

I'm not that keen on your girls names but I like Lara and Larissa but I would just use Lara as a standalone name

We already have a Dexter and are considering Felix for his little brother due next month! I also love Hugo and would have a Jasoer if my friend hadn't beaten me to it!

Hugo and Cecily are my favourites from your list.

I love Felix - Ds2 has it as a middle name, and Cecily was one of my all-time favourites for a girl if we had one, except DH wouldn't consider it :( (but since we never had a girl it really wasn't an issue!)

Bugoven - Jasper was another boy's name I loved! But again, it was a no from DH. :(

Love Felix - would have been on our list if DD had been DS2.

My favourites of your lists are Louis and Larissa (which was actually on our list for DD).

Oh dear, apparently DH doesn't like Cecily either ThumbWitchesAbroad!
So that's off the list, as is Larissa but Lara is still ok.

It's proving quite difficult to find a girls name to match Felix, which was obviously met with cat comments even after he was born but am really pleased we went with it now.

Girls names are proving quite difficult, there isn't one that I really like that doesn't start with an F or T or without an X! - Florence, Tilly and Alexa

Lara really works.

Funnily enough I was saying to my dh how well Felix sounds with Lara, should we have a second, just the other day.

These men and their dislike for a perfectly excellent name, eh Ellie?

What about Arianna?
Lucia?

What does everyone think to Hetty?

With the full name Henrietta, which DH doesn't like but he does like Hetty...
It's probably not quite what I was thinking of but the more I think about it the more I like it.

You can use Hetty for Harriet as well, I think.
I rather like it but it is also now inextricably linked with that woman from NCIS LA.

BikeRunSki · 05/10/2015 07:35

I know a Felix and Lexi which I think works really nicely. I don't know if Lexi is short for Alexandra in this case though.

Alisvolatpropiis · 05/10/2015 08:20

Henrietta is awful, sorry. Especially up against Felix which is a really nice name.

Harriet nn Hetty/Hattie?

Report
ThumbWitchesAbroad · 05/10/2015 08:25

If he likes Hetty, what about Letty, short for L(a)etitia? I know it's been a bit popularised by Letitia Dean and Latisha versions but it's still a nice name.

Report
celtictoast · 05/10/2015 09:20

Or Scarlett, nickname Letty?
