I think we need an amnesty thread, for all our favourite baby names that the MN jury would inevitably tear to shreds Grin be brave, come forwards and share your contraband baby names!

If we have a DD2, she will be called Beckett. MN hates Beckett as a boys name so I just know they'll loathe it for a girl, which makes me love it more Grin

I love Sienna and Savannah, both of which are frequently slated on here.

My own name has an unusual spelling over which the MN gavel has been banged.

I love the name Daisy, always have. I have boys though so haven't used it. Obviously my imaginary dd would never have been a high court judge or surgeon had I saddled her with such an undesirable name.

I think you can get away with Daisy if you are delicate and pretty. it doesn't suit anyone more elegant or the lumpen.

AwfulBeryl · 27/08/2015 19:19

Ha, I am Grace, I am far from elegant, am often socialy awkward, I stutter a bit and tend to blunder in and out my foot in my mouth, I'm also extremely clumsy.
I would be happy with Daisy Grin

Blunder in and out with my foot in my mouth ?
I mean blunder in and put my foot in my mouth. The former would however explain my clumsiness.

Middle name Danger is cool bet he'd be a kickass Judge too.

Herbert. Did not go down well here.

I also liked Olaf but thank heavens I did not use it - Frozen rather made it a mockery!

Hermione
Bellatrix
Luna
Lyric
Tempest
Andromache
Romeo
Othello
Caspian
Octavius
Ulysses

My taste in middle names is quite out there which isn't very MN style.

SanityClause · 29/08/2015 10:33

Sorry, Stevie-Jo, I think you'll find most of those are MN-approved. Although Hermione, Luna and Caspian are getting quite popular, which is quite often deemed A Bad Thing, on MN.

Darley - always slated as common and popular

I think Bluebell is a beautiful name. I don't understand why anyone raises an eyebrow at it. Lily, Rose, Daisy.....what's wrong with Bluebell??

Abigail. Apparently it's revolting.
Hermione and Antigone are classic.
