Second child due in a matter of weeks, is a boy! We already have a little girl called Lacy. When we named her we thought it was really different, and not many around.
There are now 3 in her class at nursery and hear it everywhere else too!
Always loved the name Jacob for a boy, but it seems this is CRAZILY POPULAR now too! Also, family members who know what we are expecting and the name we liked keep referring to him as baby Jake and tbh its grating my shit Grin
Others names we have liked are;
Zach ( I think Zachary is also on the cards just so he has a 'full name')
Mason (dh loves, I friggin hate)
I love Chase and Axel and Jonah. All of these have been laughed out by DH.
Cody is sort of floating around too.
Any suggestions please?

Ralph?

So to condense all that waffle into something shorter, looking for name suggestions for a boy, that is modern, not too popular and quite cool. Also need to be mindful of shortened versions as he will inevitably be called the shortened version of anything. Hmm

It's hard to guess what would be popular where you live as names can be quit regional - I've not come across a Lacy for example.

How about:

Brodie
Ellis
Emerson
Dexter
Flynn
Saul
Zeke (Ezekiel)

I think if you want to be different forget all those so called unique names. They're every where.
I agree with the poster who suggested Adam. Not many of them
Around now. Lacy and Adam. Got it a ring to it that. Other suggestions

Zach and Mason are very popular where I'm from. I know off hand about 5 of each born in the past 2 years.

A friend of mine (in NZ) has a Jett, which I didn't like at first but has really grown on me. Fits your criteria, I think??

Some great suggestions! Love Jett, DH just vetoed it Angry
Not keen on Adam, we're in a rather west country part of the world so his name would be shortened to Ad.
Steven is the middle name.
Love Jacoby with Coby for short!

I like Axel, how about Brett or Carter?

What about Jago?

Also, Zac could be short for Isaac, as well as Zachary Quack.

I have an Axel so a bit partial. Get lots of positive feedback from my terribly polite friends but... there are three baby Axels where we live. All half Swedish.

We also considered Casper, Elmer and Gustav.

John.

It's not even in the top 100 this year! So anyone wanting a unique name that's not common.... Don't bother with Axl or Viper or Rexx

Just use john.

You can't have Chase and Lacy.

I don't like Mason or Cody (or Jett).

Is Max too mainstream?
