So, so stuck on boys name. I really like Kade but not sure if perceived a bit chavvy?

OP posts:
Zakken · 01/07/2015 12:40

Much less chavvy with the C spelling. It's a surname, which I'm not usually keen on as first names. I used to know a Cade, but thatt was a nn and not his real given name.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/07/2015 12:46

Neither to be honest. Its not a name, surely?

mummy0bummy · 01/07/2015 12:47

Neither, sorry. But if you have to choose, go for Cade.

WinterOfOurDiscountTents15 · 01/07/2015 12:48

Agree, neither is great but always a C over a K.

Excitedforxmas · 01/07/2015 12:48

Don't like either sorry but would go with a c spelling if I had to

Zakken · 01/07/2015 12:57

Yes, it is a name, but principally a surname.

nilbyname · 01/07/2015 12:59

It's awful, sounds made up. If you must, with a C rather than a K.

Taste is subjective, choose the name you love.

bluebelle2662 · 01/07/2015 13:14

Neither, it's hideous.

Sophronia · 01/07/2015 14:03

Neither, but Cade is slightly better than Kade.

Lunastarfish · 01/07/2015 15:06

Is it pronounced Cayd or Caydee? Agree with others go with C spelling either way

It does exist. It's a surname. Jack Cade was a medieval revolting (literally) peasant - he led a rebellion:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Cade

GladysTheGolem · 01/07/2015 16:53

What's Lindsay Lohans name in Mean Girls?

IssyStark · 01/07/2015 16:56

Don't like it myself as a full name but okay as a nickname. It would have to be with a C. Possibly go for Caedyn as the full name, which has a certain Welsh/Anglo-Saxon look to it (see also Caedmon, Caedfael etc)

Sophronia · 01/07/2015 17:13

I think Lindsay Lohan's Mean Girls character is Cady?

Zakken · 01/07/2015 18:14

I can also remember a TV programme called Cade's County, a western in which the sheriff (I think) had the surname Cade.

PennilynLott · 01/07/2015 18:25

Sophronia yeah, I'm gonna call her Caddy.

MamaLazarou · 01/07/2015 18:38

I don't like either but with a C if you must.

BadHenry · 01/07/2015 21:35

Neither

Mintyy · 01/07/2015 21:44

It's not a name I am very familiar with. How would it be pronounced?

Either way I think you should choose the spelling you like best and not worry about other people's perceptions. I guarantee there is no name on the planet that someone somewhere doesn't like! Even the most innocuous names like James or Mary are a no-no with some people.

Zakken · 01/07/2015 23:32

It's Cade to rhyme with Jade Confused Nothing complicated about it.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 02/07/2015 09:49

If you have to then go with Cade
