Boys' names in the vein of Alexander/Henrik/Theo

I love the above three but can't use the latter two for various reasons (Alexander is still a possibility).

I also like (but don't particularly want to use): Corin, Auden, Hugh, Jonah, Roran and Barnaby.

Has anyone got any suggestions? Our surname is one-syllable, and we want something fairly classic, not too popular and preferably with an easy nn option.

I have an Alexander and a Nathan. I also considered Joel, Saul and Adam.

Thanks eveyone - I love Hector and Rory but they both sound odd with our surname, sadly. I can't use Lawrence but LOVE it.

Sue - I have a Nathaniel! Love Saul but I think my religious grandparents would be perplexed...;)

Not keen on Harrison, I do like Thomas and William, but they're ten-a-penny round here.

Love Edgar! And Edmund, but husband not convinced.

I love Rohan and Rowan too but they don't work very well with our surname. Might be surmountable though!

Keep them coming smile thanks eveyone

I've loved the name Edgar since my DS2 was obsessed with these books:

www.amazon.co.uk/Dinkin-Dings-Frightening-Guy-Bass/dp/1847150683

One of the characters is called Edgar and at a book festival he got to meet the author who got a group of kids up to play the characters and he got to be Edgar smile It was all he talked about for a long time especially as he got the booked signed and the author put a not in it about being the best Edgar.

Never had any more so never got to use it plus it doesn't really go with our surname

I have a Theo already, & DS2 will be named Eddie, if that's any use? (Probably not if DH has vetoed similar names!)

I love the name Quinn but DH not keen. Also considered & discounted Austin.
