Most unusual sibsets

A lot of posters start threads asking for names that match their current child/children's names.

What is the most unusual or different names styles that you have seen for siblings?

The ones that stick out (celebrities sorry) are Kourtney Kardashian with Mason, Penelope and Reign. Also Sarah Michelle Geller with Charlotte and Rocky.

A very odd one I have seen is Amelia and Krystal. Granted they were half-siblings and several years apart!

I have also met a sibling trio called Faith, Hope and Simon. Not that odd but it always amused me because Simon was the youngest and usually introduced last and you could tell people always expected a third 'virtue name.'

Isn't there a mumsnet rumor about a Faith, Hope and Kevin?

IsItStupid · 29/05/2015 06:53

I've never heard the Faith, Hope and Kevin rumour. Seems to be a theme though!

I was thinking about other sibling sets I've met and I remembered an Ellen and Alan pair, but to be fair they were step-siblings so the parents couldn't control that one. And that's overly similar as opposed to overly different.

I have a friend with a teenage Jordan (she was very very young when she had him) and now a baby Ursula! I would not put those names together! Fab thread x

JacobWrestling · 29/05/2015 09:41

There was a piece in the Guardian a few months ago about a blended family who had ended up with step-sisters who were both called Molly.

MsAspreyDiamonds · 29/05/2015 10:22

I know a Faith, Hope and Claire.

KittiesInsane · 29/05/2015 10:24

I know a Miranda, Sebastian and Bob (adults by now).

AuditAngel · 29/05/2015 10:33

My oldest two are Valentino and Gabriela (Spanish spelling, not a typo). When choosing names for DC3, my mum suggested Sarah?

JakeyBurd · 29/05/2015 11:50

Know of three brothers called Bodie, Zap and Camo. All mature adults now, and reasonably unscarred.

Thurlow · 29/05/2015 11:53

I know a Daisy and Scout. Both nice names but I never quite thought they sounded right together (twins girls)

Tommy · 29/05/2015 11:56

friend of mine has an Old Testament traditional boy's name, a pretty flower name and then went a bit crazy and called her third after a geographical feature..... Hmm

ScrambledEggAndToast · 29/05/2015 11:58

Both my sisters are called Emma Grin

Basically, I'm the middle one and we've all got the same dad. Big Emma was adopted and was originally called Kim. Her adoptive parents called her Emma which, coincidentally, our mum and dad called our younger sister.

I know a sibset of Rebecca, Christine, William and William.

i think it's weird for two reasons, there is the Rebecca/Christine thing of one being Old testament and the other New, and secondly the whole "both boys with the same name" thing. The elder William was known by his middle name and the younger by a nickname of his first name so it wasn't completely obvious to the casual outsider(the Dad was called William). Sadly it has an unhappy ending as the younger son was killed in a car accident :(

MagentaVitus · 29/05/2015 13:08

I know a Basil, Spike and Jemima.

NomiMalone · 29/05/2015 13:09

I know an Isla and a Skyla which makes me Confused .

MagentaVitus · 29/05/2015 13:10

Also Quentin Willson (used to present Top Gear) has kids called Mercedes, Mini and Max!

BalloonSlayer · 29/05/2015 13:24

I used to know a bloke called Crispin who had two brothers called Steve and Richard (or similar).

MamaLazarou · 29/05/2015 13:34
