Thoughts on this list of girl and boy names?

Can I please have your honest thoughts on the below list?

Girls names
Eden
Eliza
Amelie
Ava
Faith
Fearne
Imogen
Sienna
Sophie
Willow

Boys names
Elijah
Joseph
Luca
Lucas
Oscar
Raphael
Reuben
Theodore

Obviously some names just won't be to everyone's taste but it would be good to know if any of these names are ridiculously popular, have any negative associations, or names that will mean the child will need to carry off a certain personality.

Ava, Oscar and Theo are all pretty popular. Amelie, Sienna and Luca, to me, feel quite faddy, very 2009-2015. Fearne is Cotton. Faith would possibly suggest you are quite religious. Otherwise, I would think they're all pretty solid, especially the boys' names. Like Eliza, Joseph, Raphael and Lucas best.

OP If you want to know about popularity, this government site will tell you. (Data for 2014 not released until later this year):

Girls names all nice but Ava has been done to the death in the NE, i know loads of them, i like Eliza

Boys names i like all of them, the most common one i would say is Lucas/Luca but i really like the name, like Theodore but pretty popular used as Theo. I like Reuben, my favourite boys name atm is Jesse

The only two that make me think of anything are Eden - The garden and Fearne - fearne cotton. My son has one of those names and a couple of my daughters friends have those names. I think a lot of them are popular but nice.

Amelie and Imogen were on my list if DS was going to be DD. Sophie is very popular according to stats and Ava as well I think. Depends if that bothers you or not. All in all I like your girls list with the exception of Eliza and Faith. Theodore nn Ted and Reuben are on my list for DS so they're my favourites. Oscar is very popular (again if that bothers you). Also like Luca and Raphael nn Rafa.

Eden, Amelie, Ava, - I see them as a bit faddy, of this time, will date
Faith, Fearne - a bit plain for me
Eliza, Sophie - love both
Willow - I like it. Might be an odd name if she's a bit on the heavy side?! (Not Willowy!)
Imogen- love- my name, everyone always says how lovely it is

Oscar - very popular
Elijah, Joseph, Luca, Lucas, Reuben love them all and not too popular in my experience
Raphael, Theodore - not for me. Raphael a bit much IMHO

My faves are probably Eliza or Sophie & Reuben or Lucas

Thanks for your feedback all.

Tubbytime Are you saying that Eden and Theodore are your favourites or that they are the ones you like the least?

I do like Oscar, Ava & Sophie but I think they may be too popular for my liking.

Eden - perhaps a bit faddy?
Eliza - a cockney maid from 1900 (nothing wrong with that)
Amelie - Amelia is nicer and more classic
Ava - lovely name, very popular though (along with Eve, Evie, Eva) if that bothers you
Faith - pretty and underused, nice meaning too
Fearne - I think of this as a bit naff and showbizzy
Imogen - don't like
Sienna - like
Sophie - one of the best of your list, a classic
Willow - like

Elijah - classic, solid name
Joseph - classic, solid name
Luca - OK, a bit frilly compared to Luke
Lucas - see Lucas
Oscar - don't like
Raphael - a bit frilly
Reuben - quite like
Theodore - like, classic

Girls names
Eden - A bit 'granny chick' for my liking but if that floats your boat then go for it.
Eliza - I'm indifferent, perfectly usable name.
Amelie - Again indifferent, just so many Amelias/Amelies/Emilias about.
Ava - so so popular
Faith - not keen, looks like your religious. (tho nothing wrong with that!)
Fearne - lovely name, though I prefer it spelt 'Fern'
Imogen - popular but a good decent name
Sienna - lovely.
Sophie - done to death for the past 30 years.
Willow - gorgeous, my favourite.

Boys names
Elijah - I quite like it, love Eli as a nickname
Joseph - dislike it.
Luca - my favourite
Lucas - Nice but prefer Luca
Oscar - Popular
Raphael - Really dislike it, unless you Spanish/Italian etc, I think it would look a bit daft if your both English
Reuben - Lovely name
Theodore- not keen.

Eden - really like but think people pick it to be 'different', and then it's not really different anymore (can't explain it!)
Eliza - nice, classic, not childish
Amelie - lovely
Ava - love it but WAY overdone
Faith - bit too wet for me
Fearne - don't have any feeling any way
Imogen - lovely
Sienna - bit faddy
Sophie - nice but plain
Willow - I would never call my child this as our kids are highly unlikely to be long and lean! Depends on your genes I'd say.

Elijah - I don't like it but don't have a reason.
Joseph - our DC due in May will be Joseph if turns out to be a boy, so this gets my vote! Was saying to DH last night that a Joseph can be any age, you can't place them as being a nineties or forties baby for example. Good, solid name!
Luca - I'd expect some Italian heritage, although not sure if it's an Italian name??
Lucas - fine
Oscar - really like but too popular
Raphael - again would expect some foreign heritage
Reuben - doesn't click for me
Theodore - really like!! Love Ted.

I've never met anybody called Eden. Is it really popular now? The only times I've come across it is in the novel 'A Dark Adapted Eye', and a 1960s male singer called Eden Kane (stage name).

We have a baby Eliza and we've had a ton of compliments on her name.
I've met a lot of baby Theo's, Ava /Eva /Evie's, and Amelie's over the past few months.
I like Joseph a lot; Elijah too but couldn't really use it ourselves now with anEliza!
