DH has his heart set on Sid now , which is growing on me . We wouldn't use Sidney atall as just don't like it , so he would always be Sid . Thoughts on Sid? Thanks

Personally I don't like it.

What's the reasoning for Sid?

Aiden is a great boys name.

I love love love it. It seems like it's going to start getting a bit popular, not sure if that's a problem for you?

I love it. We had it on a list, went for Stan in the end, but really love Sid and Sidney!

I think of ice age as well.

However I do know a young and very trendy mum who has a 1yo called Sid, he suits it Smile

I think it's lovely.

Sorry, I feel awful now. It's a nice name. Popular down under where I live because of the Sydney association.

I only like it as a nickname for Sidney, it seems very incomplete as a full name.

I like it. I like the character Sid in Skins

I quite like it. It has more charm than some of the grandad chic names. Easy to spell too.
