Previously we settled on Maya but recently I have found out in my mother's mother tongue it means money/greed and someone even mentioned an evil to stay away from.

I know it has lots of lovely meanings in different languages but I can't seem to overcome this and have decided not to call my baby Maya but now I haven't a clue what to call her!

Anyone know any lovely Indian girls names?

TIA

I don't have a huge pool of names that I know belong to necessarily Indian, but Sonal and Sufana are my favourites, no idea of the meanings. Also like Radhika, Bhawana and Tara.

Keep them coming, literally if you know an Asian female what is her name!

I like the softer sounding names.
