Maggie - lovely. Not so keen on the other two.

Maggie is my favourite. Love it.

I used to like Ruby but it's just far too popular and has lost it's charm.

I don't like Skye.

Love Maggie, very nearly DD1's name but chickened out at the last minute as she arrived just after the departure of 'Thatcher the Milk Snatcher'. But we let slip to both sets of GPs about DD1 nearly name and they expressed their relief... so now we can't DD2 it! Rarrr

Ruby there will be millions of them at school etc, may not be a problem for you.

Skye is nice but always reminds me of late 80s Neighbours.

Agree with Ruby becoming too popular. Shame really We already have a Millie - does Millie and Maggie sound a bit too similar/funny together?

I was going to be another vote for Maggie until I saw your last post. Millie and Maggie are way too similar.

Ruby feels very trendy.

Skye is sweet but it lacks substance for me. It's quite sweet on a child but lacks something for an adult. Also it feels a bit like a dog's name.

I prefer Maggie, but don't think it goes well with Millie.

Don't like Ruby at all.

Quite like Skye.

I have a niece called Ruby - it suits her so well the cheeky minx!

I didn't think I'd see that name on here! Maggie is the name we will be giving to our next child if she is a she of course! So obviously, Maggie is my favourite (it will be in honour if my nan)

Maggie reminds me of Thatcher, and Ruby and Skye both feel quite trendy. I guess I'd pick Skye.

Just a quickie- ruby and millie is/was a make up brand (similar to urban decay/benefit in style) only fizzled out in the last couple of yrs. Don't know if this would matter :)

I absolutely love Ruby.

I'd much rather have Margaret than Maggie and am not at all keen on Skye.

I'm 33wks with DC2 and if it's a girl she will be Maggie.

I'm not sure about Millie and Maggie though, sorry. They're too matchy for me. Out of your short list, Ruby would be my next choice.

Ruby, dislike the other two names.

Would you consider Agnes? Similar sound and feel to Maggie, but less matchy with Millie.

Report
ParsleyCake · 03/11/2014 20:58

Skye, then Ruby, but not Maggie. It makes me think of old ladies and I don't like nicknames as proper names
