Oh I like all of them (irish too ;-) ). Out of the boys names I like Dermot & Oliver best, and love Ellen for a girl

Dermot
Eamon
and
Maeve

are all lovely!

Oliver and Emily are a little overused imo.

Eamon (pretty rare among the under 50's I'd say)

Dermot or Eamon
Maeve

I agree Oliver and Emily are a bit overused and though Ellen is lovely I feel it would get lost in a sea of Ellies and Ellas.

Be careful about Oliver if you have elderly Irish relations-race memory runs deep!

Oliver and Maeve. Love Maeve - considered it for dd1.

Not keen on Dermot or Dervla (particularly Dervla)

Oliver is my favourite of the boys, although a little Eamon would be super cute.

Favourite girl is Emily but Ellen and Maeve are perfectly lovely too.

I love Ciaran for a wee boy, defo one of my fave boys names. And Emily is gorgeous, it may be popular but it is classic, feminine and strong IMO, beautiful name. X

I prefer Diarmuid rather than Dermot, don't think Oliver is very Irish and love the name Ciaran
Other Irish names I like are Fionan/ Finn, Cathal, Devin, Ross (boys) and Doireann or Roisin (girls)
Now if only I could convince my DH to agree to any of the above (sigh...)
