It's a bit odd, sorry.

Sorry, but I don't like it either.

No. Don't. Faith is nice though.

Country singer fallen on hard times. Awful.

Not for me either, and it is a little difficult to say. She will probably spend her life explaining and spelling it too, then having a conversation about how it came to be her name.

It sounds very Filipino. Lots of women from the Philippines have Lyn on the end of their names. Jennilyn, Norlyn etc.

Or a bit redneck.

And it doesn't exactly trip off the tongue either.

Give an idea of other names you like and we can give you some constructive suggestions.

It's a very nice idea, but does sound a bit made up.

Fay or Faye were originally short forms of 'Faith'. Rather pretty!

There are the girl's names Fidelis and Fidelia, both based on the Latin word for faith (fidere = to trust).

There is the Irish name Fedelma, which is based on a Gaelic word meaning 'constancy' or 'loyalty.

Or there is Constance/Connie/Constanza. Or Verity meaning 'truthful'. Both these could suggest 'constancy to faith' or 'true to faith'. And Honor, too.

I was pretty much going to say what florascotia has said.

There is also 'Fidela'.

Bucking the trend> I like it! (And I don't normally like made up variants.)

Faith and Verity are nice. Not Faithlyn though I have to say!

How about Phaedra which is Greek. Phae (Faye) is a possible shortening.

It sounds like the name of a town in the US Bible Belt - sorry.

Depends where you live.

In America Jazzlyn, Gracelyn, Braelyn, Raelyn, Taelyn, Camryn etc are all in common use so I don't see why Faithlyn wouldn't be. Are you in America?

If you're UK it's probably a bit too out there. I quite like the sound of it though.

Not good to my ears, sorry! I read it as Franklin first...

Could you have Faith-something to fit with your surname? Faith-Marie, Faith-Rose, Faith-Kate? Hmm, they all sound pretty awful, don't they, sorry! I like the suggestion above of Honour, would that work with your surname?

Whys it bad with your surname.
