If you both love it then go for Rory. I like Max but not keen on Ronan personally

I love Rory & Ronan.

Rory, definitely, you both like it. Max sounds a bit like a pet name, and Ronan makes me think of the opening bars of 'No Matter What' by Boyzone.

Valsoldknickers Tue 19-Aug-14 23:42:54

Rónán, but I am biased wink

Rory.
But I like Max too.

I like Rory best.

Good luck!

Rory! Then Max. Don't like Ronan, but do like Rowan or Roman a fair bit.

I love Rory. Max is Ok. Ronan not to my taste.

If you live in NI or Eire, Ronan would be great. In other places you and he might spend your lives explaining that it's not Roman - very popular in Central European families.

Thanks everyone smile footle I'm in NI

I expect you know that Ronan means 'little seal' in Gaelic and so has magial/mythical connotations - lovely stories of selkies and suchlike.

As earlier poster says, would probably work best in Ireland or Scotland.

Ronan is my favourite boys name and if I ever have a ds, he will be called Ronan.

I also like Rory and Max though.

I'm not much help grin

Ronan then, it's a brilliant name !

birdofthenorth Wed 20-Aug-14 11:57:42

Love Rory.

I don't think of Max as a dogs' name (but I have a 14yo Max myself )
Rory is cute for a little boy but would it be as cute on an adult?

Ronan - nah.
