Thea - beautiful, simple and elegant.

Jemima. A classic and so pretty.

(Thea is becoming very popular.)

Thea.

Jemima sounds like an old aunt's name.

I love Thea and love the nickname Mimi.

Don't like Jemima at all though.

So all things considered..............Thea.

Thea.

Jemima either says 'Puddleduck' or 'Playschool' to me, as those are the only 2 Jemima's I've come across.

Out of interest, would Mimi be pronounced like 'mini' but with an m (which is how I would read it if I saw it written down) or like the 'mima' part of Jemima ?

Thea by a mile. Is pretty, but still serious.

Oh sorry forgot the why part.

I don't like Jemima as it is too kids TV for my tastes. I can only imagine Jemima on a little girl or a really old lady characters in a CBBC program, not a 'real' person and not a 30 or 40yo lady.

Thea.

Jemima makes me think of Jemima Puddleduck.

Thea, it's beautiful and on my list for future dd.

Jemima is dp/dss word for vagina. Not used often but enough to put me off!
Even without that id pick thea in a heartbeat

Thanks so much for your comments...looks like Thea is winning! I do love Jemima (more so the nn Mimi), and I have heard the vagina connection...which worries me slightly! Please keep comments coming. This is really helpful.

Mimi is sweet for a little girl but I'm not sure about it for a 40 year old woman.

Thea, I think it's beautiful and lovely for an adult!

Thea

Jemima is nice but not keen on Mimi (which I would pronounce MeeMee but I see upthread you've said it's like 'mini'?)

Thea
Gorgeous name

Incidentally, I would also pronounce 'Mimi' as meemee

Thea. Short to the point and classy. And follows spelling rules for when she learns to write her name - Th. Eeeee. Aaaaaa.
