We are having a little girl but DH is hopeless with names, he just prefers to say yes or no and so far he doesn't like my choices;

Astrid
Georgie/a
Verity
Isabella - I love but can't use due to family member's daughter

Left over names from last pregnancy -I can't use these because they are so popular now

Phoebe
Olivia
Ava

We like traditional names but not names like - agnes, ivy, moira, vera, Margaret, Barbara. Please suggest names you think we would like.

Thank you for the input,
Matilda and Harriet are lovely. I'm not sure we could pull off Matilda though!
We definitely can't use Harriet due to another family member.

Convince him on Astrid or verity.

They are two of my very favourite names!

Aw I love Phoebe, would have definitely been our top choice if it weren't for surname beginning with an F!

I will keep trying, what other names (middle) would go well with Verity / Astrid?

My other daughter is a Fi so it will look like we ran out of names smile but I do love the name.

Btw, DH says Astrid would sound rude when shortened . .

DH doesn't like Stella / estella sad I think Stella is a lovely name.
I'm not sure about the middle names. Maybe it doesn't need a middle name?

No need for a middle name, or have lots if you like smile

Fiona
Jessica
Hester

Verity is beautiful. I've only ever taught one as well (in 26 years so far) and that was about 20 years ago!
