Different Boys Names

Struggling massively to choose a boys name that is a bit different, but not too out there.

I really liked 'Max' a few years back and always imagined using the name for my son. Now I've met more Maxs since being pregnant than ever before!

Any ideas?

Don't pick Arlo Grin

I love Otto. I know one who really suits it. Although apparently it's a real old man name in Germany.

Not sure about Otto! But otis is nice! My other half loves German names so he could be sold with Otto! Why not Arlo? It's been coming up a lot in searches lately, but I don't know anyone who has used it.

We have a Quentin - still love it (biased Smile).

Or how about Rex, Reuben or Felix?

Otis is lovely (Otto isn't imo).

I have one Grin

I don't want it to become popular. If you believe MN it should be in the top 10.

I really like Otis too.

Is cassius and atticus too unusual?

We nearly picked Felix. But i hate the cat comments.

I like Reuben and Quentin! Other half says a definite no to Reuben, but it was in my top 10! What is it with men and their perceptions of 'girlie boys names?!' He's come up with a very manly 'Gordon' - no chance! I like Cassius, but he said no to that too. I'm definitely not caving in on Gordon!
On a positive note, we have a girls' name picked, we're going for Heidi. If it's a boy, we only have 6 weeks left to agree on a boys name

Hector's cool, Sid and Leo are high up on my list too. We're teachers so names we both like are hard to come by, we associate them with students, this is why the other half says no to Sid and Leo :(

Maybe I ought to get him on here, he's much fussier than me. He says he likes Henry and Fred.

I'm not too sure, what do you think?

I was going to say Henry but thought we were trying to be more different than that. I love Henry and Harry
